very busy (occupatissima)

I am very busy with my PhD research at present and am unable to post regular updates. I will try every now and then.

Sono occupatissima con la ricerca del dottorato al momento e non riesco a inserire aggiornamenti con regolarità. Ci proverò di tanto in tanto.

The white whale is singing to me
the white whale is calling my name

we have been apart for weeks
and I feel empty and destabilised

I will reply to the white whale's chant
I will look into her (funnily enough it has become a 'she' during this journey)

note- the RU486 is an abortion pill, that has been and still is at the centre of many discussions in Italy. Recently two members of the League Party have affirmed that they intend not to distribute it in the regions where they are presidents. This was said in spite of the fact that the pill is legal in Italy.

Sometimes you need to let the whale go
sometimes you need to make some space
create a distance
so that you can take a look from a different perspective

I am trying to see it as an organic entity
which insistently floats around me
I am looking at its structure
its frame

it is beautiful and scary
huge and fragile

viaggio nel labirinto graham

Ieri ho tenuto una lezione su Martha Graham alla Luna Dance Center di Ancona intitolata "Viaggio nel labirinto Graham". La Luna è una delle poche scuole di danza dove si organizzano lezioni di storia della danza. E' stata un' esperienza molto bella. Ringrazio ancora Cristiano Marcelli per avermi invitato, Simona Ficosecco, per la sua energia e Beatrice Vitali per l'aiuto.
