no mother tongue

"My work as a thinker has no mother tongue, only a succession of translations, of displacements, of adaptations to changing conditions. In other words, the nomadism I defend as a theoretical option is also an existential condition that for me translates into a style of thinking."

Rosi Braidotti, Nomadic Subjects, New York, Columbia UP, 1994, p. 1.
